Getting rid of junk in Summerdale
The Magnolia Landfill is in Summerdale
SWDA's Magnolia Landfill at 15480 Terra Bella Drive is the county's only municipal solid waste landfill. It takes household garbage, furniture and bulky items, yard waste and tires, and it's open Monday to Friday 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday 7 a.m. to noon.
The nearby CHaRM is for recycling
The Magnolia CHaRM on Terra Bella Drive takes hard to recycle items like electronics and household chemicals, some for a fee. It doesn't take mattresses, furniture, tires or appliances. Furniture, mattresses and tires go to the landfill instead.
