Who picks up trash in Kissimmee

  • The City of Kissimmee Solid Waste Division collects residential and commercial waste and recycling inside city limits.[1]
  • A Kissimmee mailing address does not guarantee city service: homes in unincorporated Osceola County are served by Waste Management, so check the city limits lookup first.[3]
  • The city runs fully automated side loading trucks and three bulk trucks, serving all city residents four days a week.[3]
  • The Solid Waste Division can be reached at 407-518-2507 or sanitation@kissimmee.gov.[1]

  • The city's schedule page lists higher bulk rates, from $27.26 for 1 cubic yard to $327.12 for 12 cubic yards, and says charges may vary based on weight.[3]

  • Place items at least four feet from other objects and do not block sidewalks or storm drains.[2]

  • The city does not pick up debris left by private contractors doing tree or remodeling work at your home.[2]
  • City employees are not allowed to go onto private property to collect items.[2]
  • Set refrigerators door side down or remove the door so children cannot get trapped.[2]

Check with the city first

  • Many homes with a Kissimmee mailing address are in unincorporated Osceola County and get service from Waste Management, so use the city limits lookup before following city rules.
  • The city's two solid waste pages list different bulk pickup rates, so ask the Solid Waste Division at 407-518-2507 what you will be billed before you set items out.
  • Neither the city nor the county page we read names the landfill that takes Kissimmee household garbage, and fees at the St. Cloud Transfer Station were not posted, so call ahead before hauling a load yourself.
  • Holiday dates and free disposal days change every year, and hours can shift after storms, so recheck the current schedule.

We left these out because we could not read them on an official page when we checked:

  • Landfill used for Kissimmee household garbage
  • St. Cloud Transfer Station fees and residency rules
  • Kissimmee bulk pickup rate
  • Kissimmee basic residential service billing period
